Rosemary was born and bred in Melbourne,
graduating from Burnley Horticultural College in the 70’s.
Rosemary was accepted into the ‘MAST’
program in Minnesota USA. This involved 9 months work in Minnesota
(at Len Busch Roses, a cut rose production greenhouse), then 3 winter
months studying at University of Minnesota.
Rosemary stayed for an additional 12 months
working for a wholesale/ retail nursery in Minnesota, followed by
a role at Jackson and Perkins, a rose breeder in California.
At the end of the 2-year program, Rosemary
travelled to Europe and upon returning to the USA, work
continued at Len Busch Roses for several years before marriage and
family demanded spending more time at home.
Further study ensued, with Rosemary being
accepted into the University of Minnesota extension service “Master
Gardeners” program.
The Master Gardeners program advises home
gardeners on up to date practices for the Minnesota growing conditions.
Returning to Australia in 1995, Rosemary
started her own garden maintenance business in Feb 1998, which continues
to this day.
This combination of academic and practical experience
adds further depth to the consulting skills available from Casetech
Australia.
